Tjärö´s restaurant and café is located by the sea with a view of of the archipelago. We focus on pure and simple flavors with a focus on locally grown and sustainable ingredients. Whether you visit us for breakfast, lunch, buffet or a la carte, you will be greeted by a moment to remember..

Tjärö Restaurant

Please reserve a table for the evening in advance through our web booking (click HERE), by sending an email to info@tjaro.com, or by calling us at (+46)454-600 63.

In our restaurant along the water’s edge we serve breakfast, lunch, buffet and à la carte. Our breakfast is served between 8:00-10:00, lunch between 12:00-15:00, and dinner from 18:00 during high season*.

Opening hours Restaurant
To ensure a table in the restaurant, please reserve a table for the evening by calling us at (+46)454-600 63 or send an email to info@tjaro.com. You can also make a reservation online (click HERE). We do not make lunch reservations.

  • 30th of April – 17th of June, our restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch all days of the week. Open in the evening for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays.*
  • On Ascension Day (6th of May), our restaurant is open both daytime and for dinner.
  • 18th of June – 22nd of August, our restaurant is open all day long for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • 23rd of August – 12th of September, our restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch all days of the week. Open in the evening for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays.*

*During low season, dinner reservations outside of Friday and Saturday (i.e Sunday – Thursday) can be made only if we already have conference dinner reservations booked for the evening.

Lunch at Tjärö
The price for lunch is 185 SEK for adults and 95 SEK for children (7-12 years).
Our lunch is served with a great salads buffet, bread & butter, and coffee/tea.

Evening
During high season, our restaurant is open all evenings of the week from 18:00 for à la carte.

During low season, the restaurant is open for dinner from 18:00 on Fridays and Saturdays (Sunday – Thursday dinner reservations can be made only if we already have conference dinner reservations booked for the evening).

On selected dates, our à la carte menu is replaced with a buffet, see below.

Buffet, 445 SEK for adults, 145 SEK for children (7-12 years):

  • Fridays the 18th of June, 2nd of July, 9th of July, 16th of July, 23rd of July, 30th of July, 6th of August, and 13th of August
  • Thursday the 24th of June (the day before midsummer)
  • Friday the 25th of June (Midsummer evening buffet)

Seafood evening, 695 SEK for adults, 155 SEK for children (7-12 years):

  • Friday the 27th of August, Saturday the 28th of August and Saturday the 11th of September.

Tjärö Café

In our café you can buy a selection of sandwiches, salads, Tjärö’s shrimp sandwich, Tjärö waffle, soft ice cream, cakes, coffee & tea, soft drinks, beer, wine and pharmacy products. The selection and opening hours will vary depending on the season.

Our café has the following opening hours:

  • During Valborg the cafeteria is open Friday-Sunday the 30th of April-2nd of May.
  • During the Ascension day holidays the cafeteria is open Thursday-Sunday the 6th-9th of May.
  • The 15th of May – 17th of June our café is open every Saturday and Sunday.
  • The 18th of June – 22nd of August our café is open everyday, Monday-Sunday.
  • The 23rd of August – 12th of September our café is open every Saturday and Sunday.

The Small Tjärö Ferry

Timetable M/S Tjärö (Tjärö- Järnavik)

If you wish to travel other hours then our timetable the fee is 950 SEK plus our ferry ticket which is 110 SEK for adults and 45 SEK for children (7-12 years).
